1. What is DOC++?
DOC++ is a documentation system for C, C++, IDL and Java generating both TeX output for high quality hardcopies and HTML output for sophisticated online browsing of your documentation. The documentation is extracted directly from the C/C++/IDL header/source files or Java class files.
Here is a short list of highlights:
2. Portability and development
The current stable version is DOC++ 3.4.10, released on December 22, 2002.
It is known to work on Linux, Solaris, AIX, HP/UX, IRIX, OSF, Unixware, FreeBSD and BeOS, but should work without any modifications on other UNIXes too, because it uses "autoconf"/"automake" configuration scripts, which ensure a high portability degree. It also works on Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP and NT.
